It is my honor on behalf of Metro Nashville Public Schools to welcome you to Hillsboro High School. You are joining a strong community of learners who are proud to be a Burro.
At Hillsboro, we pride ourselves on our academic excellence; recognized as an International Baccalaureate World School, we strive to ensure all students have access to rigorous academic programming which prepares them succeed in their post-secondary endeavors. In addition to IB academics, students can engage in interdisciplinary STEM research with Vanderbilt University, Dual-Enrollment, Dual-Credit, Advanced Academic (AP) courses and Industry Certifications.
At the heart of Hillsboro, is our highly dedicated and talented staff. Every student will receive a well-rounded, rigorous educational experience surrounded by teachers who are experts in their area of study. Our teachers value creating learning experiences in which all students can be successful in the classroom and develop a strong foundation for future endeavors.
As a student at Hillsboro, I encourage you to get as much as possible out of the four years you will spend with us. Get involved in student organizations, participate in school spirit activities, and attend performances, events and games to support your peers. Embracing the wide variety of academic programming we offer; I challenge every student to take an advanced course in the subject area of your interest and find student organization in which to participate.
